gcloud alpha config configurations rename - renames a named configuration
gcloud alpha config configurations rename CONFIGURATION_NAME --new-name=NEW_NAME [GCLOUD_WIDE_FLAG ...]
(ALPHA) Renames a named configuration.

To rename an existing configuration named my-config, run:
$ gcloud alpha config configurations rename my-config \ --new-name=new-config
- CONFIGURATION_NAME
Name of the configuration to rename
- --new-name=NEW_NAME
Specifies the new name of the configuration.
These flags are available to all commands: --access-token-file, --account, --billing-project, --configuration, --flags-file, --flatten, --format, --help, --impersonate-service-account, --log-http, --project, --quiet, --trace-token, --user-output-enabled, --verbosity.

This command is currently in alpha and might change without notice. If this command fails with API permission errors despite specifying the correct project, you might be trying to access an API with an invitation-only early access allowlist. These variants are also available:
$ gcloud config configurations rename
$ gcloud beta config configurations rename
