gcloud alpha projects set-iam-policy - set IAM policy for a project
gcloud alpha projects set-iam-policy PROJECT_ID POLICY_FILE [GCLOUD_WIDE_FLAG ...]
(ALPHA) Sets the IAM policy for a project, given a project ID and a file encoded in JSON or YAML that contains the IAM policy.
The following command reads an IAM policy defined in a JSON file policy.json and sets it for a project with the ID example-project-id-1:
$ gcloud alpha projects set-iam-policy example-project-id-1 \ policy.json

- Project resource - The project to set the IAM policy for. This represents a
Cloud resource.
This must be specified.
- PROJECT_ID
ID of the project or fully qualified identifier for the project. To set the project_id attribute:
provide the argument project_id on the command line.
- POLICY_FILE
Path to a local JSON or YAML formatted file containing a valid policy.
The output of the get-iam-policy command is a valid file, as is any JSON or YAML file conforming to the structure of a Policy https://cloud.google.com/iam/reference/rest/v1/Policy.
These flags are available to all commands: --access-token-file, --account, --billing-project, --configuration, --flags-file, --flatten, --format, --help, --impersonate-service-account, --log-http, --project, --quiet, --trace-token, --user-output-enabled, --verbosity.

This command is currently in alpha and might change without notice. If this command fails with API permission errors despite specifying the correct project, you might be trying to access an API with an invitation-only early access allowlist. These variants are also available:
