gcloud alpha sql backups restore - restores a backup of a Cloud SQL instance
gcloud alpha sql backups restore BACKUP_ID --restore-instance=RESTORE_INSTANCE [--async] [--backup-instance=BACKUP_INSTANCE] [GCLOUD_WIDE_FLAG ...]
(ALPHA) Restores a backup of a Cloud SQL instance.
- BACKUP_ID
The ID of the backup run to restore from.
- --restore-instance=RESTORE_INSTANCE
The ID of the target Cloud SQL instance that the backup is restored to.
- --async
Return immediately, without waiting for the operation in progress to complete.
- --backup-instance=BACKUP_INSTANCE
The ID of the instance that the backup was taken from. This argument must be specified when the backup instance is different from the restore instance. If it is not specified, the backup instance is considered the same as the restore instance.
These flags are available to all commands: --access-token-file, --account, --billing-project, --configuration, --flags-file, --flatten, --format, --help, --impersonate-service-account, --log-http, --project, --quiet, --trace-token, --user-output-enabled, --verbosity.

This command is currently in alpha and might change without notice. If this command fails with API permission errors despite specifying the correct project, you might be trying to access an API with an invitation-only early access allowlist. These variants are also available:
